As you leave Marbella and head west, you enter the municipality of Estepona, where the first urbanisation you will encounter is Atalaya. The beachside area, known as Atalaya Baja and Atalaya Isdabe, features a mix of traditional and modern properties. This prime location offers easy access to the beach and various amenities such as the Aldi supermarket, Mad About Furniture (for all your home furnishings), and a great range of cafes, bars, and restaurants. The Area

The Atalaya urbanisation initially centred around the Atalaya Park Hotel, but it has since expanded along the beachside and across the road with various villas, townhouses, and apartment complexes popping up. It boasts a prime location, just minutes from Guadalmina and San Pedro de Alcántara, as well as being just a short drive away from Puerto Banús, Marbella, and Estepona. The charming village of Benahavís is also just a 15-minute drive away. The area of Atalaya offers numerous amenities, including supermarkets, restaurants, shops, prestigious schools, medical facilities, and dentists. The area is also rich in sports activities, from golf and water sports to padel, tennis, and football.

The Mayfair Academy in Atalaya Baja caters to students aged 3 to 18, following the Cambridge Pathway and British National Curriculum. Additionally, the Atalaya International School, set on 16,000 sqm of land, offers both Spanish and English education, including GCE and IB programs, for students aged 3 to 18.

Despite being a relatively small area, Atalaya actually boasts several hotels within or nearby its vicinity. These include the Melia, Sol Marbella Estepona Hotel, Marriott’s Playa Andaluza Hotel and Senator Banús hotel beachside. Mountain side the Ona Diana Park hotel is located next to the Diana park commercial centre.

Atalaya is an ideal location for families seeking proximity to amenities, offering excellent transport links with regular bus services between Estepona and Marbella. It is conveniently located about 45 minutes from Málaga airport and an hour from Gibraltar, making it accessible for both residents and visitors alike.
